I was thinking about Omer today when it hit me. He is me. Which is great, because everyone loves Omer. And as hard as they try not to love me, they do! (because they love him. I mean, me.) Let's start simple: We have the same names. Omer = Benj. Think about it. A 'j' is an upside down and backwards 'r.' An 'm' is just two 'n's. The 'e's are the same and a 'b' is an 'o' with a feather. So obviously the only difference between me and Omer, is that when I am Omer, I am sans feather, and when Omer is me, he is with feather. Need more proof than that? Notice...

1. We look exactly the same. Can you even tell the difference between the two people?

   

2. He was born in a place with predominantly one religion. I was born in a place with predominantly one religion.

3. He likes Computers. I like Computers.

4. My favorite musician is Shakira. His favorite musician/band is Radiohead. And I am pretty sure Radiohead's favorite musician is Shakira (I mean how could it not be?). So by the rules of logic, Omer's real favorite musician is Shakira.

5. Omer likes books. I like books.

6. Omer tries weird sleep schedules. I try weird sleep schedules.

7. Omer spends all day on thescruffypirate.org. I spend all day on thescruffypriate.org.

8. Omer is 22 years old. So am I.

I could, of course, go on forever, but I am sure by now you see what I have seen. Now I ask one more thing of you, dear reader. Think back on your friendships with Omer and I. Have you ever actually seen the two of us together? Have you ever seen both of us in the same room at the same time?

I think you will find that you haven't.

   I hadn't realized that I've never seen Courtney and Cindi Lauper in the same room at the same time! I am in total amazement, and will definitely incorporate some karaoke into my next party that I expect Courtney to attend. Or, on second thought, maybe I'll make sure not to.
