2007 in review
Can you believe that it is 2008 already?
I generally think of the 1990s as my decade. I don't remember anything of the 80s. Seeing as how I was born late in '83 I was only in that decade for 6 years. So, it makes since that I don't remember it. So, growing up, the 90s were all I knew. The 80s seemed like a long time ago. They were some strange time from the past.
Then 2000 hit and things didn't change that much. It still felt like the 90s. When ever I saw 90s compilation CDs at the store it seemed too early. You can't have 90s compilation CDs! They just happened! They aren't even really over! Nothing has changed!
Well, now it is the year 2008. And honestly, it still feels like the 90s to me. Do you think I will forever feel like I am living in the 90s? But seriously. It is 2008. What?!
What happened in 2007? Well, not really anything. I didn't go to school. I didn't get any new jobs. I didn't move into any new places. I didn't make any new friends. I practically didn't even meet anyone new!
But at the same time it was a big year! Let's see... I left Colorado College forever. I got hemorrhoids. I grew a long beard. I thought about getting a job. I almost took a dancing job (and am beginning to regret not taking it). I watched a lot of TV shows. And that's about it! A good year!
Let's raise a toast to 2008.
To (eventually) an income! To seeing the world! To making new friends! To staying in touch (IM anyone?) with old ones! To exercising more! To new layout ideas for TSP! To avoiding careers! To minimizing our impact on the planet! To escaping capitalism (after I get an iPhone and a new laptop, of course)! To backpacking! and to reunions! To 2008!
I'm trying to get pumped. First thing I need is a new years resolution. Hmmm....
