Abandonment
Hmmmm...
Yes. I abandonded you.
Has it happened before? Yes, many times. But mostly my absences have been short. This time I left you for a particularly long time. In fact, it was the sixth longest time I have ever left you:
- I'm Back! — 161 days in the summer of 2004
- What a Crappy Layout — 71 days in the summer of 2005
- What is Going On — 69 days in the spring 2005
- My New* Room — 62 days in the winter of 2004-2005
- [Untitled] — 60 days in the summer of 2002
[Based on that list, the first half of 2005 was a sad time indeed!]
Well, I'm back again, again.
These last 43 days have been a whirlwind. Let's see...
- I packed up all of my fiance's and my stuff to get ready for our move.
- My fiance and I drove home to Portland with our cats and she got the stomach flu.
- We hung out in Portland, and went to the zoo, played badminton, played cards, ate out a lot, did a lot of cooking and had a great time.
- We drove back to Colorado.
- We moved into a new apartment which is absolutely fantastic.
- I ran the Bolder Boulder with my fiance, Erik, Joy and Mike. I met my two goals for the race: running the whole thing in less than 43 minutes and running it faster than Erik.
- I hurt my ankle somehow either during the race or after so now I have been pretty bummed out and limping around everywhere this week.
And that's about it! Comcast is coming on Saturday to hook up our internet, so expect more of me then!
I miss you all!

Omer, we talked about this last night, so I went and looked for your Bolder Boulder times online! 1998, 1999 and 2000! Good work! Why'd you stop?

Your pace was 6:40? That's nuts!
The fastest timed run I've ever done was a touch under 8:00, and I think that was only for 4.5 miles.

Thanks Robert! Yeah, I was really happy with my time!
I really can't take all the credit, Keri helped me by pacing my training runs, and Erik (a running coach) gave me advice and a schedule to stick to!
