Another hair story
So, I guess all I have to talk about these days is hair. Anyway, on to the topic at hand!
I have always been curious about people waxing their legs. The stories of the pain. The Friends episode with the edible wax. Well, last block break on our way to Kansas, Keri, Poppy and I started talking about it and I decided I wanted to do it! So last Thursday we went to Walgreens and bought some. That was stressful because at first we couldn't find it and then there were some different choices and the containers looked so small. I didn't know how much of what we should get. But luckily the girls decided on a brand and we got just one jar. A smart decision!
As it turns out it isn't that painful. For me. Poppy didn't like it. I mean it hurts, there's no doubt about it. But I just kind of accepted that it was going to hurt and dealt with it. The pain went away after about 30 to 60 seconds. No sweat! The part that sucks is getting all the hair. Because if you miss a hair here or a hair there it is a total pain! It is hard to wax one hair a a small clump of hairs. But let me tell you! That stuff is sticky. I had no idea. It was like a cartoon or something. The stickiness really put Keri in a bad mood.
I ended up getting frustrated by the facts that I wasn't being precise enough (the stray hairs) and that I couldn't do the backs of my legs myself. So though the picture doesn't show it, the hair on the back of my leg is 3 inches lower than the front. I can definitely see why people pay to get this done.
(The nick in my shin is from the coffee table)
I am not going to finish this waxing, I don't think, but I am still very curious about it. So if any of you want to do it, keep me posted!

I find that the area around my ankle is almost unbearable! If I were rolling in money, though, I would regularly pay for a professional waxing instead of shaving. Boo, razor burn. Does your leg still look like it belongs to an elderly man, or has the blotching faded?Seamonster Bruceeng

If only you were lucky enough to be half Asian. My people don't have to deal with any of these hair issues.Dread Pirate Benjamin

There you go again. Holding those genes of yours above my head!
