Happiness Formula
According to Scott Adams, the writer of Dilbert (who I have linked to many times before) there is a formula to happiness. He says,
In order to be happy, you must be successful in all three of these areas:
- Relationships
- Health
- Income
I have recently decided to not ever have a career (and thus a stable and well paying job). My favorite thing to eat is sugar. And I don't exercise enough. I also push people away. So, I guess I have no hope for happiness. Shucks!

Evaluations of your own life in terms of this formula are encouraged in the comments.

I'd rather evaluate your life, thanks!
Perhaps you won't be happy according to Scott Adams' criteria. But by shunning human relationships, mainlining high-fructose corn syrup, and hanging out by a busy intersection holding a cardboard sign reading "wi11 c0d3 4 f00d," perhaps you can "shoot the moon," transcending happiness on your way to a state of pure, solitary, sugar-induced, impecunious nirvana.

I think everyone's idea of 'successful' is going to be different, you will probably have an income that's acceptable to you even if a lot of people wouldn't consider your job well paying.
I'd be happier if I were doing better on the health and income than I currently am. By most people's standards I'm probably horribly unsuccessful on the relationships one too, but I'm not too concerned about that.

success is relative, you can be happy and successful in all 3 areas without a girlfriend, a job, and by eating mass quantities of sugar.
