The high is that I got into my class. Yay!

The low is my teacher is hardcore and I am probably going to have to do a lot of work. Yeah an Independent Study sounds nice. No class. doing what I want. But I will have to work harder this block than I have worked in the last four. Rough.

Low number two is that currently he has me working on a project that has nothing to do with web developement. I am writing a program that will serialize JAVA objects into XML documents as opposed to text documents that are encoded strangely (like JAVA normaly does). Though, this is neat, and will be a part of a larger project that will one day be sold to other people (possibly), it is not where my heart lies.

The second high is that I will hopefully get to convince him of other project to learn about through the rest of the block that are more what I want to do. And that I am taking a flippin' (I would have used a different adjective there) course on XML. Something I have been interested in for a while now.

Now I am off to try and remember how to serialize objects in JAVA. Yay!

A digression:
I have been using that a lot recently, the "Yay!" Must... Stop.... Now.
