I am an ESFP
I took the myers-brigg personality test two years ago and it said I was an ESTP. I took it again a week ago and it said I was an ESFP. I was reading about what this means at this wesbite (to use in a job application), and was amazed at what it said. I feel like it was a darn good representation of who I am. In particular this line stood out for me.
"An ESFP is unfailingly warm and generous with their friends, and they generally treat everyone as a friend. However, once crosesed, an ESFP is likely to make a very strong and stubborn judgment against the person who crossed them. They are capable of deep dislike in such a situation."
I have recently been trying to figure out why there are some people that I really just hate being around. It seemed very counter to my personality and ethusiasm to be so negative towards certain people.
But! Ahhh! That explains it!

The most notable part of the esfp description that I don't think applies to me is the avoidance of theary and abstract thought. Other than that I think that it is pretty right on.Carpenter Courtney

"For the INTP, it is extremely important that ideas and facts are expressed correctly and succinctly. They are likely to express themselves in what they believe to be absolute truths. Sometimes, their well thought-out understanding of an idea is not easily understandable by others, but the INTP is not naturally likely to tailor the truth so as to explain it in an understandable way to others. The INTP may be prone to abandoning a project once they have figured it out, moving on to the next thing. It's important that the INTP place importance on expressing their developed theories in understandable ways. In the end, an amazing discovery means nothing if you are the only person who understands it."Pfft. If they can't understand it, they must be touchy-feely ENFJs. ;)

i want to post a small quote: Anger can be a problem for anybody, but may be especially so for ENFPs who have not sufficiently developed their Introverted Feeling. The desire to keep everything non-judgemental, combined with the tendency to use Introverted Feeling as justification rather than true judgement is a recipe for suppressed anger. These are very contradictory forces. “I hate you for judging me†is an ironic feeling, but is unfortunately common. The inability to apply judgement, or to accept negative judgement prevents the ENFP from expressing negative judgement, and therefore causes them to stew in their anger, rather than deal with it.that would be me!

This is interesting. I pulled out my recent score, and I am a INTJ, which is the exact opposite of you, Benjamin! It is a wonder we can communicate at all! Or....maybe we compliment each other well....? That doesn't seem likely. :)Quartermaster Lisa

I'm an ISTJ - almost the opposite of you. You're actually the personality type that is supposed to drive me crazy... ;-) Now isn't that interesting! It generally describes me pretty well, except for the part about not being in tune with feelings and being uncomfortable expressing affection and emotion to others. The Anonymous Poppy

The last time I took the Myers-Briggs, I was an ISTP. We (generally speaking) have no (visible) emotions, no (commitment to any particular) ambition, and make good spies (apparently). But I don't know if that's completely accurate anymore. I definitely feel more like an F than a T lately.I find it interesting that the people who have a personality type very similar, but a little bit different, than mine (like, only one or two letters off) are harder for me to interact with then peole who are very different (although I usually like them better). I guess they just seem more difficult to sound out, because differences are glaring, but similarities are subtle?
