I'm in a bad mood.
So, I just called the Great American Music Hall to see if they had any suggestions for getting back stage passes. Now maybe I have seen one too many movies or one to many Friends episodes. But I was under the impression that some how people get these things called "Backstage passes" and that they use these things to get back stage.
Here is how the conversation went (highly paraphrased):
Me: "Hi, do you have any suggestions on how to get backstage passes to the Zooey show?"
Woman: "No! What the hell are you thinking? You can't do that!"
Me: "Is there like any way I can help out, volunteer or work to be back there?"
Woman: "No, you can't go back there. No one is allowed back there."
Me: "There is no one backstage?"
Woman: "We don't just let fans go in the back and bother the artists."
Me: "Maybe I have seen one to many movies, thanks for you help. Bye."
Woman: *Laughing as she hangs up*
But it was the way she was talking. That doesn't capture it properly. She was talking to me as if I was a jerk and an idiot. I don't understand why she had to yell at me. I'm sorry that I was curious and excited about this artist you are hosting. I'm sorry that I had the gall to call you up and ask you about the show. I'm sorry!
Maybe I was being crazy naive about my hopes, but sometimes that is just my shtick. She could have just said 'No.' I'm in a bad mood.

Some people will act like you are an idiot regardless of how reasonable your request is. A while back I went into a key shop, like a place that only does keys, and explained that I needed a replacement key for a door at our office. He acted like he had no idea what I was talking about and I was an idiot for asking.
Fortunately in this case there was another guy that came out and actually helped me.
