I shaved again!
So, Peter did notice correctly that I shaved my beard this week. In fact I shaved the day after the reunion ended. Which just happened to be a coincidence.
A friend of a friend (though we are friends on Facebook, so I guess just a friend!) from back home in Portland is going abroad for six months and suggested I not shave for the entire time she was gone. I was already planning on growing my beard out, so this seemed like a good idea, plus it allowed me to start something I have wanted to do for a long time: create a timelapse video of my beard growing out.
I am going to take a photo of myself every morning for 6 months and then I'll have a fun little video! Here was the first shot:
All the files associated with this project are being backed up online (including up to date videos) so you can follow along if you like. Sorry it isn't a more formal page, I don't have the time to whip something up for it right now.

(It only works in Safari 3 and Firefox 3, sorry everyone else! I wanted to get it done quickly and not have to write a function for getElementsByClassName by hand. If you want to write one, then I'll use it! But until then, I have other stuff to do!)
