Joe Grange is a friend from high school. Then he moved to Florida and dropped of the face of the planet. But now he is on TSP!

I live in Gainesville, but only for the next few months. Moving to chicago. And I was kidding about the Oasis thing...Just trying to make Ben angry after what he had said.

I was in Gainesville once. It was the day after I arrived in FL...the 14th of October, 2008. I was in the car the whole time except when I was at the Florida School of Massage. I saw a blue lizard there! (Lizards are really exciting to me b/c they are not too common where I grew up). Mostly I noticed a lot of places along the highway/interstate (not sure which) selling fresh produce. What do you think of Gainesville, Joe? Have you lived anywhere else in FL? I am in Jacksonville and trying to get a sense of where a good place to live would be...a place that I would like. So, if you are familiar with jax, I would be happy to hear your thoughts.

I'm actually moving to a suburb of chicago, not sure quite where yet - any suggestions? I'll be working in Batavia, and was thinking Naperville looks nice.
Gainesville is ok, it doesn't have much personality besides the school...I'm used to living in places with quirky breakfast places and things like that, there are none here. But I absolutely love the weather. For me it doesn't get much better than wearing shorts in December. I've literally never been outside Gainesville in FL, though. I've pretty much glued to the department the last two years or so, but eh.

hmmm, no, i'm not too familiar with that area. i've spent some time in naperville, but that's a world away from my neighborhood. but you know, wayne campbell was from aurora! (and the dorky guy he met at the alice cooper concert was from wilmette, which is my home town)
