Movies Coming Out Soon, September 2011 Edition
My list of movies coming out in the next few months (or that came out recently) that I'm excited about, ordered from most excited to least. (old ones, in case you're interested)
- In Time
Not only does this have two actors I'm way excited about (Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried) but the plot just sounds incredible! - Our Idiot Brother
I just love Paul Rudd! I think he must really be this good-hearted in life, too. Plus all three of the sisters are actresses we love! This just looks like a winner! - Moneyball
I haven't read the book, but the trailer makes this look like a feel good, come from behind sports story. And you really can't go wrong with those. Especially when they have Brad Pitt! - Like Crazy
This movie looks like a tough one, even the trailer got me to feel the beginning of some tears welling up. I've done the long distance thing, it is hard! - What's Your Number
A romantic comedy revisiting old ex's with Anna Farris and the best of the Fantastic Four. I don't know what it is about Anna Farris, but she can take just okay movies and makes them great (House Bunny). There is a scene in this trailer towards the beginning where her boyfriend asks if her parents are going to be at her sisters wedding and her facial expression just cracks me up! - Drive
There's something about this Ryan Gosling guy, isn't there? I'm a little worried this one isn't going to have a happy ending, though... - Columbiana
Second straight up action movie on the list, and this one looks like the the feel-good, get the revenge, ass kicking kind. - 50/50
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen in a film about fighting cancer. My guess is it has a happy ending where the guy gets the girl and not a sad ending where the guy dies at a young age from cancer... - The Rum Diary It is nice to finally see Johnny Depp geting back into more adult fair. This looks like a good time.
- The Help
I'd never heard of this one until making this list and then the wifey happens to randomly start the book this same week. Also, from where I'm sitting on this flight as I write this, I can see two other people reading the book. Let's hope Emma Stone keeps her streak doing of great movies! - A Good Old Fashioned Orgy
I don't know what to say. It looks silly and dumb, but my guess is it probably has a good heart and a few laughs. - Margaret
I don't know how they can make Matt Damon look so old and middle aged in Contagion below and then so young in this one. This looks like a depressing one. - Wanderlust
Paul Rudd and Jennifer Anniston join a hippy commune. Sounds cute! No trailer, yet though. - One Day
This one follows two people through their lives together on the same day every year. It looks like it has it all, chemistry, heart break, long distance, soul mates, etc. - Dirty Girl
I'm not really sure what to think about this one. Coming of age high school comedy mixed with road trip? - Contagion
Another one of those end of the world disease movies, but with Matt Damon, Kate Winslet and Jude Law. Looks okay. - The Ides of March
I'm not normally one for political movies, but like I said, there is just something about this Ryan Gosling. He really impressed me in last years _Blue Valentine_. - Abduction
It's got that guy from Twilight and looks like a run of the mill, fun action movie. - Griff the Invisible
Seems similar to Kick-Ass but more about over coming personal demons and finding love. - I Don't Know How She Does It
This one sounds a little dumb, obvious and easy, but what can I say, it looks kind of cute.

I'm actually with you on a few of the top ones: Moneyball, What's your Number, and Drive.
I will let you see 50/50 first and report back. I do not want to see it if it's a sad ending.

Keri, that's a great list, but all those movies are coming out in over three months! The list I just posted takes us to the end of October (if I remember correctly)...
