My Mustache Sculptapades
This weekend I received my present from Kate. And well, it didn't go as expected. Though, I'm not entirely sure what it is that I did expect.
It looks like this:

There are two parts, the tube and the comb/brush thingy. That's right, there is both a comb and a brush built into the thing. According to the back I use the brush to apply the stuff and the comb to sculpt the 'stash.
Okay. Well, I opened the tube and squeezed it a little. I expected something like molding gel to come out, but instead something that was the consistency of cold cream cheese emerged. I applied it to the brush and then the brush to the mustache. But the wax just came off in a little clump. I couldn't 'paint' my mustache. It just stayed there in a clump. So the brush appeared to be quite useless. So, I took the comb and started working it into my mustache. And this actually started to accomplish something. I worked it in as best I could and then reached up to curl the ends. And well, let me tell you, 'wax' is an appropriate description. It feels waxy, and a little oily. Not the most pleasant, so I stuck to the comb and did the other side.
Here is the result of my first attempt:
Just so you have some perspective, here is what I normally look like:
In that light I think it was quite a success! It was also wonderful to not have my mustache on my lip.
However, there was one more surprise. The wax has a lemon scent. I'm not crazy about the lemon smell so this is a bit unfortunate.
But I am not defeated or discouraged! No! I just need some more sculpting practice. And I need to figure out exactly where the edge of my mustache is so I know what to sculpt. And I need to get used to the smell.
Alright!
