Nose issues

Something is going on with my nose. I swear that two days ago I had a zit inside my nose. Inside. Inside! I could feel the bump. And it kind of hurt like zits do. And I felt like I was going to sneeze the whole time. It was totally irritating. So when that was going on I couldn't stop itching my nose. Basically I was picking it the whole time. Now my nose has become infested with mucous. But it dries quickly so it is hard painful irritating mucous. And this bothers me. So because of this I have been picking my nose a lot. I have basically just spent a lot of time in my nose recently. Which is irritating, because this summer I made a list of ten things I wanted to improve about myself, and picking my nose less was one of them. But I have not been doing well at all. At all!

And has any one noticed that I have started repeating things quite often to add emphasis in my posts and comments? I am not sure how I feel about this. Not sure.

I got my first zit in the nose about three weeks ago, I know what you are feeling. But the zit will eventually go away... You could always put a bandaid on your finger, that might help. That's what they tell parents with toddlers to do.

Repetition is a time-honored way of emphasizing oneself in online discourse. The other major method of emphasis is, of course, the ALL-CAPS. At times, these two methods can even be used together. However, I would caution a beginner in emphatic online discourse (although I am sure you are no beginner, Benji) from using these methods interchangeably, as each has it's own subtle connotations of meaning and circumstances for most appropriate use.

Sorry about the nose, too. I don't really have any suggestions for you there.

I recommend a small amount of vaseline in the nose. However, I read in a newspaper column that vaseline can travel down your windpipe into your lungs, where it just sits there. It cannot be metabolized. So if you get too much into your lungs, they fill up with vaseline and it decreases your breathing capacity. When you get elderly. I'm getting to the age to test this out, so you might want to be cautious until we see how it goes.

Benji, I completely understand your nose troubles. All block, I dealt with similar problems-dry, crusty boogers that hindered my breathing! I spent more time with my finger up my nose last block than I did when I was a kid (Ok, maybe not...). Now, my nose troubles continue, but on the completely opposite end of the spectrum. Now my nose won't stop running and I just keep sneezing (I think I have a cold!). I think I've sneezed about 25 times this morning and its not even 10:30 yet! Geez! Anyway, good luck with your boogers and nose zit, Benji! And HAPPY THANKSGIVING, everyone!!

Jeez Benji, stop making lame excuses for that nose picking habit of yours! Admit it, you are a compulsive nose picker.

i already mentioned how to handle the nose zit, so i will touch on nose picking.

everybody picks--sometimes it hurts. i've been having intense boogers lately. intense. today in class i just wanted to shove my finger up there and get everything out once and for all. once and for all.
