Say good bye to these, TSP
Well, unfortunately, I didn't reach my goal of growing my hair out for this calendar year. But that's because I got tired of it and wanted to have it short again. So this is no somber occacion my friends but a joyous happy one.
Here's the culmination of a year and half's worth of growing:

At the end I wanted to keep growing it out, mostly as a way to say FU to all the people that gave me a hard time about it. I really will never understand what makes people think it is okay to insult someones hair. Seriously, I got anywhere from it is ugly, to sketchy, to gross. What other physical characteristic is it okay to say these sort of things about? Would you tell someone point blank that their nose is ugly? Or their stomach? Or their height? No! You say nice things!
But that's not what I'm about (well, its not what I want to be about). I'm about doing what I want and not what other people want, even if what I want happens to also be what they want.
So, it got chopped off! And by Keri nonetheless! With scissors! None of that new fangled clippers business. And I tell ya, looking at the pictures from yesterday, I already think the long-hair-hairdo looks different and strange. This looks normal:

Anyway, I have no regrets about not reaching my goal. Spontenaity is more fun than goals.
But in this cold Boulder weather I'm going to need to get out my scarves!

Advice for keeping warm #3: fashion a hat out of your recently removed hair. (Protip: to keep that pesky hair from falling off again, just use super glue!)
