Scruffy Six Seventeen: candy and more!
And some more questions for everyone!
Do you like twizzlers or red vines better, and why?
How similar do you think the two candies are, and why?
What's your favorite Laffy Taffy joke, and why?
What's your favorite color of candy, and why?
What's your least favorite color of candy, and why?
Do you like wood or mechanical pencils better, and why?

1. I am a huge fan of red vines, but like twizzlers as well. See next question. But overall red vines are my favorite.2. The only thing similar about twizzlers and red vines is the shape and color. They are two completely different candies.
3. Historically: What did the ocean say to the beach? Nothing it just waved!
Currently: How did the man feel when he feel out of the 60 foot tall fossilized tree? Petrified!
4. Red, without a doubt. But purple has a close second. I love red vines, swedish fish, hot tamales, red skittles, red starbursts best.
5. yellow! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a yellow candy.
6. I like wood pencils better because the feel better. But I hate sharpening them. So I use a mechanical pencil.

Numbers one and two are a bit loaded because I know what you _want_ me to answer, but here is the truth:1) I prefer Twizzlers. They're easier to eat (often less hard) and a different type of cherry that I prefer.
2) They have the same shape (viney) same color (red) and same type of flavor (cherry). They are also - and this might be obvious given the nature of this Scruffy Six - both candy. They do, in the end, taste completely different and have completely different textures.
3) Where do athletic lawyers go to unwind? ... The courts!
(Okay, so I might have just made that up right now. I don't have a favorite Laffy Taffy joke! I don't even _know_ any off the top of my head! I'm sorry!)
4) Red, definitely, but only because I have such good associations with it: swedish fish (etc.) --- See Benjamin's anwer above.
5) White... White candy tends not to fit with my tastes, and - to be fair - it's not even a real color.
6) Mechanical... They taste a whole lot better, and I like the tex--- Oh, you aren't talking about candy anymore.

For the record only stale redvines are hard. Normally twizzlers are harder. There is _almost_ nothing more pleasant in life than fresh red vines.Boatswain The Fool

I disagree... I find fresh red vines just slightly harder than Twizzlers, since they're bigger... Maybe that is just my personal bias, though.Seamonster Kristin

1. Ugh, don't like either really, I much prefer tasty black liqurice. If I must choose... Twizzlers.2. pretty different, definitely different texture and aftertaste. Red Vines seem more synthetic to me.
3. I haven't had Laffy Taffy in years! So I don't remember :(
4. Um... Brown, cuz then there's probably chocolate or a rootbeer flavor. Also, thought I like the taste of lots of red candy (sweedish fish, &c.), I can't stand the aftertaste.
5. Purple. I can't handle fake grape flavor. too much Dimeatap as a child I suppose.
6. for writing, mechanical, thick lead. for gnawing, wood... much more satisfying. (haven't had one in years, but during my test today, when we needed to use #2 pencils, it was all I could do to not give it a bite).

1. I don't really like either.2. I think they are similar in that I dislike both.
3. I dont think I've ever had laffy taffy.
4. I usually like the red ones too.
5. Probably yellow or green, they tend to be not so great flavors.
6. Mechanical, because they don't have to be sharpened, you don't get a whole lot of variation in line thickness, and they have nice soft rubber on em.
On a side note, you can use a mechanical pencil on a test. Just check your lead packaging to be sure it's HB hardness, that's equivilent to a #2 pencil.

twizzlers feel more synthetic to me.Beca

1. redvines, twizzlers taste processed...right, MORE processed.2. they look similar but taste different
3. I've never had laffy taffy
4. red i guess, i have never thought about it, i like m&m's a lot and they are all sorts of colors....
5. black, black licorice is the devil, anise....i hate it
6. wood pencils, but i like to draw with charcol and i use my ballpoint pen to take notes. so in conclusion, i don't like pencils...

1. it's mood thing. my mom raised me on twizzlers, yet my aunt always treated me with redvines. redvines have a better flavor, usually, but feel stale. so, if i had to choose one, i'd probably go with redvines.2. they're vastly different. they're both red, and that's about all they have in common (that and loads of sugar)
3. why did dracula's mom give him cough syrup? because he was coffin
4. difficult question. it varies from candy to candy. but, in general, red, yellow, then green (given red !=cherry, yellow = banana, green !=apple)
5. black licorice is disgusting
6. mechanical for writing because it's always that beautiful .5mm tip. wood for drawing because you can get a varying size of tip (by angling the pencil differently)

twizzlers are inferior in every way! What the hell is wrong with you people!Completely in love with Benjamin

1./2. What are redvines?3. Why are you knitting three socks? Because my son grew an extra foot in the army. It's classic.
4. brown...chocolate is a gift of the gods.
5. yellow and orange, because it's the color of candy corn which is absolutely disgusting.
6. mechanical pencils, hands down. the lead is always so nice and sharp and it makes the words you write look so lovely.

1. i like twizzlers better because i like the pull-n-peels.2. i agree with benji, except their shape is somewhat different as well. i think they taste totally different.
3. where do you find an ocean without water?
-on a map
4. i like orange and red candy.
5. i generally hate pink and black flavored candy.
6. i use mechanical pencils because i'm ocd and my pencil always has to be sharp. if i could have a pile of wood pencils that i used until they were not sharp and then had someone to sharpen them for me--i would do that.

1. Definately Twizzlers! There are so many different varieties (pull and peel, regular, nibs, etc.), and plus they taste a whole lot better!2. I personally look at Twizzlers as the modified version of Red Vines.
3. I can't think of one right now. I'll get back to you...
4. Red, for sure! I also like pinks!
5. I HATE purple!!! It tastes like children's tylenol to me! Yuck!
6. Mechanical!! I hate wood pencils!

1.Twizzlers. Red Vines have a grainy texture; my mother would say they swept up the perfume factory and made (fill in the blank) candy.4. Brown...tootsie rolls!
5.I'm w. the anti black candy folk..anise..yuck
6. Gotta go with wood..I love my battery operated sharpener too much.instant gratification

1. Red vines; they've been featured on Law & Order SVU.2. Completely dissimilar; twizzlers taste like plastic.
3. I don't know any. :(
4. Green. I like to pretend they're vegetables.
5. Purple because it usually implies faux grapes.
6. Mechanical. I like anything that goes "click."

So keri got some twizzlers for the harry potter premier. And it just cemented my feelings about red vines. Though I don't feel that they are similar at all, red vines are still better in every single way. every single way.yes. that's right. every single way.
