Singe stall bathrooms should not be gendered
So, you wanna know what drives me absolutely crazy? Nothing is more irritating than when single stall bathrooms are gender specific. If there is only going to be one person in the bathroom then why do we need a "women's" and "Men's"?! Now, a lady friend of mine once said, "because I don't want to sit on some guy's pee!".* Now, I hardly find it fair that just because someone else can't wipe the seat down after they miss the basin, and just because that person is of the same gender as me that I should suffer anymore than if the person were of a different gender. So, that argument is out!
Anyway, so it was quite refreshing to find while dining in Ashland (awesomest town ever in southern Oregon. Peter you would love it) that some people aren't idiots when it comes to restrooms. As can be seen here and here!
* Yes, I am aware that the period there is 'incorrect' grammar but ask me about that pet peeve sometime!

you know there's a really neato cafe in honk honk (soho) that has two bathrooms. one says "sit" and the other "stand". and that's it. the first has a toilet and sink, the other has a urinal and sink. because in one, most people sit, in the other, they stand. it's great! and i'll be there tomorrow!
