The Bubble
Starting last Sunday, I have been taking part in a nutritional study up at OHSU where my mom works. Everyday I drive and pick up all the food that I have to eat that day. Then I am only allowed to eat that food. So far the study has been going pretty well. There was one little hiccup on Sunday where I had chips and salsa for lunch, but didn't realize that there was salsa, so I ate the chips. I was going to try and eat the salsa by itself but luckily my mom said that it would be okay if I didn't (since salsa has very little calories).
But tomorrow, I get to go the hospital and they monitor me for 12 hours. They put a bubble over my head and keep all my urine. They use the bubble to monitor all the gases I breath in or out. Using that they can tell how much carbohydrates and fat I am digesting. Or something. The urine samples are to do the same for protein.
Pretty exciting, huh? I'll post some photos of the bubble contraption thing as soon as I get some!
Oh and I am trying out a new facial hair today! You can see it in action on my One a Days page!
Update: I posted some pictures in the comments!

Some photos!
First they gave me an IV. It hurt!
Here is the bubble. When I was under it I couldn''t watch TV, move or sleep. It was really hard.

Also as apart of my study, I have to collect my urine for 24 hours.
Here is what my fridge looks like:
In case you can''t read the blue tape, it says, "Urine. Don''t drink!"

I hope the pee jug fumes don't seap into the muffin batter. I would be eating cereal for the next couple days I were in the Thomas/McMurray household...

Scratch that, I now see that the milk jug is even closer to the pee jug. Alas, no food is safe!

The bubble isn't quite as funny as I thought it would be.

Every time you get food out of the fridge it is looking at you. Silently judging you.
