The Great Experiment Oh Nine, part 7
Well, that old experiment thing kind of faded into nothing in the last month. Mostly because I took up climbing. Well, that's actually a total lie, mostly because I am horrible at routine. But the climbing didn't help at all!
If you remember correctly, the plan was to exercise every morning to start the day off right. The problem with that and the climbing was that the climbing gym isn't open in the mornings, so I started getting up and doing actual work in the mornings and then climbing during the day. But I wouldn't climb at the same time everyday, so my schedule was completely out of wack.
The other main problem was that a lot of the 'experiment' side of things required me to record stuff, like my heart rate, or what I eat and how much I eat, but I haven't found a system I like for recording things, so I just plain didn't.
Plus, first Veronica Mars and then programming my photo organizer ruined my bed time schedule.
Anyway, I am getting back on track. As you can see (I am writing this after 11) I am doing good with the bedtime, already!
But I decided I tried to do too much, so here are the new experiment goals:
- To bed by 10
- Up at 6:30
- Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Have a fruit and vegetable at each meal, or if I miss one at a meal make up for it with the next one
- Be active everyday. This can include walking, running, climbing, swimming, slack lining, push ups, sit ups or core exercises
- Read before bed
With the exception of the bed time and morning stuff I am actually doing pretty good with these goals.
Really my life has become pretty much nothing but programming and exercising with the occasional movie thrown in.
