What is your permanent age?
Scott Adams has become, as of late, one of my favorite bloggers. He is goofy. He is cocky. He is a know it all. He is contradictory. (incidentally these are all ways that I would describe my favorite Dawson's Creek character, Pacy). Scott Adams has had a lot of really funny stuff lately. Today he asked a question, What is your permanent age?. And I thought it was kind of fun. So I pass it on to you. From Scott Adams:
What is your permanent age?
For example, I've always been 42-years old. I was ill-suited for being a little kid, and didn’t enjoy most kid activities. By first grade I knew I wanted to be an adult, with an established career, car, house and a decent tennis game. I didn't care for my awkward and unsettled twenties. And I'm not looking forward to the rocking chair. If I could be one age forever, it would be 42.
It does feel a little foolish asking this question when I am really not all that old. But oh well. I'll have to revisit it again in 30 years.
I think I would have to pick late teens as my permanent age. Constantly confused. Not really wanting real responsibility but wanting more respect. Optimistic about life. Full of dreams. And so on.
What about you all?

I think between 25 and 28. Old enough that you're beyond college and probably grad school too. You're just starting your career so you're still motivated and inspired. Maybe meeting future romantic interests and probably pre children or just starting to get excited about children. You are free to travel and have money and resources to do so. Yay for growing up a little more!Completely in love with Benjamin

I'm 6 or 7. Carefree and looking forward to the future...at least when I have that attitude I feel most like myself. Plus, when you're young everything is entertaining and I still can get pretty amused by trivial things. I also find myself way energized when I'm around kids that age. I'll never really grow up...or at least I hope I won't.Boots

I have it, Benjamin! I'm none of those ages I told you today. I'm 5. Old enough to understand stories and details. Able to stumble through a few written words on my own. Young enough to jump and play. Capable of all-consuming creativity and art. Big enough to get a snack for myself. Small enough to ask for comfort. And the giggles. The giggles of a 5 year-old are spectacular.Peon Peetie

In some ways I feel much older than I am, and in other ways I'm still a little kid. But I try very hard not to let people see the latter. I don't know what my age should be!Siren Sasha

I've always felt a little mature for my age and even though I'm almost done with college I feel like my life won't really start until I finish med school...so I'm going to go with 28. I think I'll have the most fun at that age, still young enough to have fun and finally with the resources and status to feel like I actually "act my age".Carpenter Courtney

217. I'm either very old, or I've been dead for a long while. Either way, it's extremely likely that I smell awful.Dread Pirate Benjamin

I'd say I'm like 14 or something. Early- to mid-adolescence, anyway.
I think my entire life has been strongly colored by the fact that my earliest memories are of thinking that I was being patronized to (I don't really have any early childhood memories), and this has resulted in a life of vanity, sloth, and beligerence. No respect for authority, a ridiculous sense of entitlement, total distrust and skepticism (especially about "the government"). I'm the personification of "a little learning is a dangerous thing" when I get ahold of a new idea. And yet, I'm full of unchecked idealism. Basically, I'm 14 years old.

So I watched a trailer for the new TMNT movie coming out today. And, surprisingly I kind of want to see it. Does anybody know an 8 year that needs to be baby sit?
