A good follow up to yesterday's link, a talk about how computers are controlling our lives and in particular, our money.
These days, stocks are bought and sold thousands (millions) of times a second by computers. That seems pretty stupid to me too. Stocks are no longer bought and sold because of the companies the represent but because of their value and their activity over some time period. Seems like we're asking for trouble...
This talk really is a horror film.
